BCF Grants
Bell Community Foundation is an IRS approved public charity founded in 2018 with a generous donation from the Norma Renner estate. Community foundations are created to support the specific needs of a local area and to have a profound impact on the quality of life in their locales. BCF was created to provide those benefits to our Bell County area for generations to come.
The initial donation from the Renner Trust was used to create a permanent endowment fund which will make distributions from earnings to benefit local charitable organizations selected by our Board of Directors. The general endowment fund will grow through gifts from generous benefactors like you, and from investment gains on the fund.

The Application Process
Bell Community Foundation (“BCF”) awards grants to IRS approved nonprofit organizations serving Bell County. Applications should detail the grant’s impact on an existing program or new initiative and its ultimate benefit to our community. The BCF Board determines the number and grant amounts awarded, if any, on an annual basis. Grants amounts likely range from $5,000 to $20,000.
The grant application period begins February 1st and ends February 28th, unless otherwise notified. Completed applications may be submitted via the BCF website or by mail postmarked no later than February 28. The Board will review applications in March and will notify applicants of the decision regarding their application in April.
