Bell Community Foundation Provides $10,000 Grant to 411 House
The 411 House was the former home to local civil rights activist, Myrtle Captain, and was completely renovated in 2018 to serve as a safe place for local youth. The focus of the house is to grow relationships through mentorship and bible study, to build community through community dinners and family celebrations, and to offer experiences through local events, field trips, and summer camp. “Supporting our local community and impacting the quality of life for those in Bell County is exactly what our foundation was created to do,” said Bell Community Foundation President William J. Stokes. “We support a variety of programs and want to support programs like the 411 House whose focus is to build the community and invest in young leaders. The Bell Community Foundation is an IRS approved public charity founded in 2018. The foundation is a community partner and resource for nonprofit organizations in Bell County and the surrounding areas. Bell Community Foundation was created to provide support to the specific needs of the Bell County area and have a profound impact on the quality of life in our community.
